You'll need a good pediatric scale such as the Tanita 1583 Digital Baby Scale   (above)  with a lock-in-weight 
    feature and .5 oz/10 g gradations for accurate measurements.    The Tanita is supplied with a baby basket that
    mounts on the base .  Weighing cats is easier without using the basket. 

    Slide the function lever to either pounds or kilograms.  Place a few treats on the scale push the set button and
    let your cat weight herself! Its as easy as that!
